Easter Sunday in the City

We woke up early and took Uber to St. Dominic's for Easter Sunday mass at 9:30. It was raining this morning - my first time to experience rain in SF! We left the apt around 8:30 because we figured there would be a big crowd... we got there and I think we were 2 of the 10 people in the entire place. About 20 minutes before church began, the people came strolling in!

After church, we walked to MyMy cafe in Nob Hill. By the time church was over, it had stopped raining but it was COLD and windy. Walked by these cute Easter-y houses :)

We put our name on the list at MyMy and grabbed some coffee at Contraband Coffee close by.

 Cable car strollin' by...

Then it started raining again, so we took cover.

Meal was good, but not great. I branched out and tried the pancakes that I had heard about - Lemon Ricotta Souflee pancakes. They were SO light and fluffy - but I wasn't crazy about the flavor. Tripp got the corn hash and liked it. The hash browns were probably my favorite part!

We were feeling extra full after brunch, so we decided to walk some towards the apartment. Ohhh California Street - I hate you and I love you at the same time. #somanyhills #beautifulviews

My heart could burst. I'm so happy to be with Tripp for Easter. Although we aren't with our families for the first time ever, it's pretty special to be in this amazing city just the two of us.

Walked by Grace Cathedral in Nob Hill. People were coming out of church and you could hear the choir as we walked by.

Noticed these beautiful tulips...

We made it back to the apartment - Go us! After laying around a bit and changing clothes, we headed out to buy groceries for the week. I came out of the bedroom and was ready to go and Tripp looked at me like "you're wearing that??" It was coooold outside and I said heck yes. So, he took a pic of me outside the apt and sent it to his parents because they got me this head warmer for Christmas. I may not look cute in it, but it keeps my ears warm.

On our way, we took a detour and walked around the backside of Pier 3 & 5. We have walked by the front so many times, but hadn't walked to the back. Glad we did!

Apparently I had an eye for flowers today because we saw these on our way back from Safeway. I mean...

We are back in the apartment munching on some baked brie and watching TV. It's been a wonderful Easter. Wish we didn't have to work tomorrow, but looking forward to enjoying the city and each other through the next week!

Happy Easter!
