Sunday in Pac Heights

We started our day with chocolate covered strawberries and Sweet Home Alabama on the couch. My parents and sister sent us the strawberries and they were so good! So thoughtful. Tripp pretended like he got them for me at first, but then told me to read the card ;)

We headed to Pac Heights to explore for the day... starting with brunch at Sweet Maple. We waited about an hour, but instead of standing outside of the restaurant... we walked down the street to Cafe Murano and got some coffee while we waited. The weather was beautiful and so was the company!

I got the deep fried french toast - "Big Hip"

We tried to Millionaire Bacon - famous at Sweet Maple. It had an awesome flavor. Wasn't crispy, but other than that - it was perfection!

Tripp got the Haas Omelet.

After that we headed to find the Mrs. Doubtfire House.

We walked through the homes on Broadway... called the "Gold Coast." This is a very wealthy area... most homes start at $10 million and go way up from there. Of course it was my favorite residential area by far for sure! It was so peaceful and quiet - these houses have AMAZING views of the bay.

The hills...

We ended up at the famous Lyon Street Stairs. There are 269 steps. People were running up and down them.... we made the executive decision to pass on that. We were already sweating from walking up and down the hills to get to this point ha.

We head to Alta Plaza Park and relaxed on the grass again. Great views of the city!

Cute little playground in the park.

I thought Tripp fell asleep so I was sneaking a pic. Then he started waking up. See it in action...

We headed back to Fillmore Street to go get something to drink and sit inside before church. Loved Fillmore street - had great shops (Ella Moss, Athleta, Alice & Olivia, Mac, Nars, Benefit, Rag & Bone, Joie, etc) and restaurants.

Stopped by Sift to get a cupcake. I tried Pink Champagne - it was pretty good, but I should have stuck with my regular (no risk) flavors :)

We sat down at The Grove. Tripp got an Arnold Palmer and I had some water with my cupcake. Really cool atmosphere and the food looked SO good. We are coming back here for sure.

Ended the day at St. Dominic's for church :) We had previously been to Pac Heights for church, but had no idea of all of the awesome places around us. Now we know!

We both really enjoyed spending the day in Pac Heights. We would live there in a heartbeat!
