Happy Two Months!

Davis, you are TWO months old!

You really love to... lay on the ottoman and have people talk to you! You kick your legs like crazy and stay there for a while. You also like your swaddle with arms in - it will soothe you when you are cranky before bedtime which makes this momma's heart happy.

You really don't like to... be hungry or burp! When we stop to burp you during feedings, you sometimes get cranky like you're worried we aren't going to give you the rest of the bottle.

You know how to...  SMILE! You are smiling tons. Open mouth smiles!

For the first time you... visited another state (Oklahoma) and went shopping at Anthropologie (mommy's favorite store)!

Eating: You are eating 4.5ish oz. 7x a day between 6:30am and 9:30pm... a week ago, we cut out your middle of the night feeding. 

Sleeping: Once we cut out the MOTN feeding, you sleep from about 10pm to 3-3:30am... and then we soothe you when you wake up between then and 6:30am. We have recently got into the habit of letting you come sleep on my chest in bed (still swaddled) until it's time to wake up. I know it's bad and not a good habit to start, but it is so perfect. Your little face is dug into my chest and you are so cozy. I never thought I would let you sleep on me while I slept because I was so scared, but I got over it quickly ha! I wake up when you move an inch which is often, so I'm barely sleeping anyway :) 

Schedule: 
Eat at 6:30am, then I sit you facing me on your boppy and we talk and smile typically while you are working on a good poop, take a 2hour nap.
Eat at 9:30am, 12:30pm and 3:30pm with a short nap in between feedings. We play and you do tummy time one time a day. 

At 8 weeks, we dropped your MOTN feed and started cluster feeding at night. You now eat at 6pm, 8pm and 9:30pm. You sleep well after your last feeding until about 3-4amish... and then we soothe you as needed until your 6:30am feed. 

I am trying to soak up every minute with you before I go back to work in a few weeks. You are amazing!

Your two month birthday fell on Inauguration Day, so we took some patriotic pics! :) Daddy was in Washington DC AT the Inauguration!
