We always get our coffee first at Peets, walk around and get the food we want, then rewarding ourselves with actually eating breakfast somewhere at the market.
Peets... I cheat on Starbucks when we are at the Farmer's Market.
The BEST peaches in all the land. I could live off of these... even after I bought some, I still taste all of the peaches that I pass to reinforce that I bought the best :)
Always come to this place for our strawberries and blackberries.
We bought some grapes this time too.
I had been told about the morning bun from Craftsman & Wolves, so I tried it. Tasted like a cinnamon donut and I ate every bite ;)
Tripp started salivating when he walked by this tent, so he tried the breakfast burger. Said it was better than the egg sandwich from Hayes Valley Grill so I trust it was that good!
After the farmer's market, we dropped our goodies at the apt and headed to Ghiradelli Square. We had passed the area before, but never really spent any time there.
The walk was about 3 miles. We knew we were here when we saw the Buena Vista. It was PACKED inside. Tripp had been here before with his grandparents to have an Irish coffee years ago, so we decided walking in and making a pit stop at the bar to look at the menu was enough time there today :)
This boutique was on my list and it did not disappoint! Loved the dainty jewelry the most. I did leave with some Toms because I forgot mine and only have open toe sandals here. It's too cold for those!
Ghirardelli Square was surprising to me - I thought it was only about chocolate, but it has really cute shops (and a few restaurants) as well! It didn't feel like SF... the red brick, clean buildings oddly reminded me of Colorado. Lots of people waiting in line to try the chocolate!
The view from the top of Ghiradelli square block on Hyde street.
At the bottom of Ghiradelli Square is Aquatic Park - a park and beach. We sat and enjoyed the views and people watched for a bit. Love these pics in our matching SF hats :)
We stopped at a close cafe for a snack... Black Point Cafe.
It was crowded, but we were able to find a table and split a turkey sandwich with some diet cokes.
I saw this popcorn shop, Cornology, and pulled Tripp in. It was an organic popcorn shop with multiple flavors. We tried a few and left with duble cheddar for our planned movie night on our couch later tonight :)
Little Italy (North Beach) is adorable. I love all of the red, green and white. Many of the restaurants have outside seating and it's just cute.
The Transamerica pyramid.
It was a great day and looking forward to our dinner date tonight!
