Friday afternoon Tripp came home and we were laying on the couch figuring out what we were doing that night... and I saw that Matilda was showing at Orpheum Theatre! Matilda was one of my favorite movies growing up and I had seeing a show on the bucket list... so it felt like the perfect combination :) I quickly whipped out my phone and saw that tickets were still available. After some convincing to Tripp, tickets were booked :)
We took BART straight to the theatre... literally the escalator pulls right in front of the theatre. I was SO excited!
I loved the look of the theatre.
We had great seats on the 5th row !
The show was awesome - all of the kids who performed were so talented. I hadn't watched the movie in so long, but they did a fantastic job bringing it to life!

Giants Game with Team
This is the first week in SF where my team (clients and SSX) are also in SF for work! I've been actually getting dressed and going to meetings + dinner at night with the team.
On Tuesday, we went to a Giants game. We lost, but it was still a good time. I think I probably watched about 5 minutes of the game total :)

Sunday: SF Marathon & Ocean Beach
Sunday morning was lazy just like we like it :) Tripp looked out on the balcony and yelled at me to come over... this boat was driving around showin' off spraying water everywhere.
This was also the morning of the San Francisco Marathon... and the finish line ended right off Embrcadero. We got coffee and Starbucks then watched people run through the finish line.
We went back to the apt, changed clothes and took Uber to the Sutro Baths. As we were driving, it started to get more foggy as we left downtown. I was hoping that wouldn't hinder the day/views!
We had originally planned on brunch at the cliff house (right next to the sutro baths), but after last night's expensive dinner... we decided against that. Driving by...
The Sutro Baths, which used to be the world's largest public swimming pool before it burned down, are now ruins along the ocean.
We walked along the concrete ruins.
Nobody is ever going to love this guy more than me... so proud to be his!
There was a cave nearby, so we walked through that as well.
The view at the other end of the cave. So beautiful.
We walked on the pretty (no seaweed) beach.
My feet in the cold pacific ocean :)
The heart rock out in the water.
Then we decided to climb this huge rock to get a better view. I took off my Toms because I didn't want to slip and we got to the top. So worth it.
The view of the Cliff House from the top of the rock... sure it has amazing views! I would love to have dinner at sunset.
We had to run around the rocks to walk down Ocean beach and we had to time it just right to not get splashed by water. It was hilarious.
There were quite a few surfers enjoying the huge waves.
Then the sun came out! As we were walking along the beach, we started finding sand-dollars. After a few, we noticed even more once the waves receded and we probably chased sand-dollars (literally that's what it felt like so we didn't get soaked) for an hour. It was SO fun. More and more people caught onto our trend, so we kept walking down the beach to have an area to ourselves :)
Check out the surfer!
It was an awesome day we will probably talk about forever. We laughed so hard because of course, we were SOAKED by the time we left the beach. The waves won a few times and my jeans were wet up to my butt with sand stuck to my legs. Tripp had tennis shoes on and they were full of water to.
With our loot we will take back to AR! :)
We also laid our blanket out and enjoyed the sun and the scenery. We ate our popcorn we bought yesterday too :)
This is the view of Ocean Beach looking back to the left towards Golden Gate Park (where the Cliff House/Sutro Baths were on the right).
Tripp helping me get the sand out of my jeans - true love :)
Waiting on Uber.
We took uber home, headed to the mall to buy Tripp some new sunglasses (praise the Lord) and then Tripp cooked tortellini + turkey meatballs with pasta we got from the farmer's market.
Oh what a beautiful life!
