MLK Day in SF

I left market Sun night and flew to SF to spend the week with Tripp! My flight was on time (woop woop) and I had an empty seat next to me!

Made it!

We had somewhat planned our days before I came out here. Our original plan was to visit Muir Woods, but the shuttles to and from Muir Woods are not open Dec - March so we are saving that for later.

We decided to spend the day in Sausalito! We have been here before, but wanted to come back and not be rushed whatsoever. Seriously - this place rocks.

We got Peet's Coffee, took the Ferry to Sausalito and walked to Fish. We had a few people recommend this, so we have it a try. It was a 1.5 mile walk, but so peaceful and quiet. Makes sense why people retire here!

On the Ferry...

We sat outside on the back of the Ferry and had a great view of leaving the city.

Some pics from our walk to lunch. Our walk to and from lunch was about 3 miles total.

Fish is on the water with an awesome view.

I got fish tacos (fish of the day was rockfish) and Tripp got a bowl of clam chowder. We rate it a 6. I had a bug on my cilantro so that threw me off from the start, but it was cheap ($24 meal and they don't charge a sales tax bc it's cash or check only). We would come back again.

There was a seal swimmin around the water 😄 We were laughing because it looks like Rambo swimming in the lake!

After lunch we stopped at Heath ceramics... cool store with dinnerware and kitchen goods. They have this in the Ferry Building, but the Factory store is in Sausalito so we checked it out.

We stopped at Dunphy Park and sat on a bench and enjoyed the sun and view. Is this real life??

We went to a few shops and then stopped at Cibo for iced tea/coffee and I got some cookies :) If I lived here, I would go here all of the time. Such a cool atmosphere inside too.

We think these people were filming themselves talking? Who knows.

View of SF from Sausalito.

Tripp decided we will live in Sausalito sometime in life. It was a perfect day. Other than needing to catch the Ferry back to SF, we had no commitments or rush. So awesome to live so close and have access to amazing places like this!

In honor of MLK - we actually saw this in the store Studio 333 today.
