Team Hollowell: Furnishing/Decorating the House

I had lots of ideas from Pinterest and random pictures on how to decorate the house... and of course I had my fabulous Mother In Law who happens to be the BEST decorator ever. Since the house was ours at the end of May and we literally had NO furniture to our name (I lived in the Chi O house most of college and then with friends right after I graduated and Tripp moved into his parent's house in Fayetteville that was fully furnished and had been living there for years = so no furniture), it was time to get to business.

Both of our parents went to the house and we took lots of pics, measured room dimensions and then Mary Ann and I did lots of talkin! I shared all of my pics from past market trips/pinterest/etc and we started a list of everything we needed to get at Dallas Market that was coming up in June.

Mary Ann and I went to market, had a ball and bought some house stuff! Mary Ann graciously spent so much of her time helping us make good, long-term decisions and it was a Dallas market trip I'll never forget. There were SO many fun moments together. I'm so thankful for her!

The only part of the house that I wanted to change was the cabinets... I wanted to paint them a lighter color. Other than that, we painted and wallpapered rooms - but the house had so much character already that we didnt do much more. Here are some pics of Mary Ann in action at our new house!

First step was to paint and/or wallpaper the rooms.Then we added furniture, and lastly we added accessories and wall decor. Still a work in progress, but you can see the journey through these pics!
