Christmas & New Years

Christmas and New Years was crazy this year! Honestly, it was probably the hardest week we've had since Davis was born. Looking back, it's all a blur! I know one thing - I am SOOOO grateful Tripp took this past week off work because I don't think I could have survived it without him.

On Thursday, we had our annual progressive party. I still wanted to participate, so we started with morning drinks and muffins at our house. My mom came over early to help us get ready because it is seriously hilarious how long it takes to get ready for something! It was one of the first times we have had to be ready at a certain time and I certainly learned my lesson. I must be ready before I try to get Davis ready :)

Everyone started arriving and we had a great day! Since we knew we would be gone most of the day, we made a list of everything we needed to pack for Davis and for me pumping. Boy it's a lot of stuff!

It was ugly sweater attire... Davis didn't have one of those, but he did have a really cute Santa outfit ;)

Bundled up and ready to go see everyone's houses!

This was Davis' first time to my parents house... seems crazy, but it's so much easier to stay at home and have people visit us! Barrett was obsessssssed with his cousin... he wanted to hold him constantly. It was so cute. He would "shake" (bounce) him when Davis got fussy when he was holding him.

Group pic at my mom and dad's!

Can't get enough of these two...

Group pic at Aunt KK's!

On Christmas Eve, we slept in until about 10:30 (after feeding him hi early AM feeding)... we had plans to go to M&R's, but didn't make it. We started getting ready for church about noon ha! It took every bit of that. It's insane! Church started at four and we were walking in during the first song - miracle. Davis didn't make a PEEP all mass and was so good!

A few family pics after church. Surreal to have our baby here for Christmas Eve mass - dream come true!

We had dinner at Carnall Hall together - it was DELICIOUS. Davis did great and we fed him right at the end of dinner. He did poop and pee through his adorable Christmas outfit and it was my first time to change him in a public place - good thing I brought a change of clothes!

Family pics on the stairs - our family keeps getting bigger!

Just the grands and great-grands.

We went back to M&R's and changed into our comfy clothes. Love this pic of my mom and aunt cheryl.

Davis slept TWO hours on Christmas Eve... it was no fun!! He was up every 15 - 30 minutes, so needless to say - we were exhausted Christmas Day. I barely remember Christmas morning ha! Of course he slept perfectly all morning. We joked that Santa didn't come see him because he never went to bed ;)

Davis wore a smocked gown that I wore when I was a baby.

Reggie and Howie miraculously SHARING a bone Rambo got them for Christmas :)

December

Pics from December 2016!

Daddy's chest... his favorite place to be. He's only in a diaper wrapped up in a blanket Mere got him. We use this blanket all of the time!

December 1st - we had to debut a Christmas outfit.

Pic from his second doc appointment - he has gained a pound in 2 weeks! woo hoo! Daddy is super hands on and takes the reins during the appointment. I love it! Davis had to get naked to be weighed and before we could put his diaper back on, he started peeing everywhere! I had to wipe it up from the floor ha.

Tripp and I had our first date night out since Davis was born on 12/11. My parents came over to watch him. We went to the square to see the lights and ate at Table Mesa. I had a glass of wine - first drink since I got pregnant - and we had a delicious meal. Felt like a limb was missing, but it was great to have a few hours out with just us two. We rehashed the last 2.5 weeks and said we still can't believe we're parents a thousand times ha! We also ran errands afterwards - gotta take advantage of that time out! We laughed when we came home because the Spendios were over and they were all boozin' it up and had a huge spread of food out! Love them.

Lovin' before we left :)

One morning after I let Howie and Reggie out in the backyard, I looked through the window and Howie was COVERED in mud. He had torn open a huge bag of potting soil. He and Reggie were digging huge holes and he was wet and dirty. There was no way I could let them in, so they played outside all day and it continuously got worse.

Where do Howie's legs start??

Jess, Barrett and Saywer brought us lunch one day - this was Sawyer's first time to meet Davis! He kept asking why he was sleeping and "why he no talk back to me?" :) These two will be good friends!!

Julia and Jess brought dinner and cookies one night for some Davis lovin. It was great to catch up with them and hear the work gossip ;)

Sleeping on mommy's chest.

Trey & Courtney brought us a delicious dinner one night.

I laid Davis in his boppy lounger while I took a bath. #momlife

Barrett and Jess invited us over for "friendsmas" - started a tradition of dinner and a Christmas movie. Davis hanging in our bed while we got ready. Jess cooked a delicious dinner and by the time we were finished, it was time for Davis to eat and we could barely keep our eyes open ha. Party poopers! Next year we will be better!

2016 Christmas Tree :) I will always remember sleepy nights with the Christmas tree on.

Cranky pants!

Sweet baby under the Christmas tree - we don't need anything else this year!

Davis' first SNOW! It snowed for a few hours - I wanted to take him outside, but it was so cold... so this had to do. You can see the snow on the ground through the window.

Davis has the best pouty face when he gets mad. I feel bad saying this because I don't ever want him to be sad, but it's so cute when he does it! That lower lip game is STRONG.

Caught Davis peein' in the tub!

Amanda Rogers came to meet Davis and brought us fajitas from Chuy's!

Lela came to meet Davis and brought us enchiladas :)
