That afternoon, Tripp's friend, Andrew, was a LIFESAVER and drove us around the city for like 8 hours that day. We went to a LOT of neighborhoods and drove around, got out and walked around some areas, took some pics and just admired the awesome city. We probably asked him 1000 questions. He was so patient and didn't laugh at too many of our questions/comments.
To kick off our tour of the city, we did THIS. It was so beautiful. I think we were both sold immediately.
Well, actually we did this first. Duh.

We stayed in the Financial District in a hotel. On Saturday, we decided to walk down Embarcadero and visit some of our favorite neighborhoods from the day before. It was a day neither of us will ever forget - we talk about it so often. We started at the Farmer's Market at Pier 1 and then started our journey up towards the Golden gate bridge. We stopped at Fisherman's Wharf. We saw the cute, but smelly seals. We sat on the beach. We had lunch at a cute little restaurant in the Marina. We sat on a table on the street and just took it all in. It was so fun and we got super sunburnt - but had no idea because the weather was amazzzzingg!
Dolores Park
Lunch in the Marina - so cute. We sat here for hours.
Yep - that's a Lululemon within walking distance :)
Ghiradelli Square
Fisherman's Wharf
Pier 39 Seals - so cute, but so smelly!
Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building
Then we kept walking. and walking. and walking some more. I don't even know how many hours and miles later. It was funny, painful and really insightful. We ended with dinner and then headed back early on Sunday to NWA.
Two weeks later - we headed back to SF to get serious about looking for an apartment. We decided to try to find a place in SOMA... close to the water and a great commute for Tripp.
This was the first place we toured... it didn't feel real to be looking at places in SF. It was a total whirlwind.
We waited for dinner at Washington Square Park... so peaceful.
View from dinner.
Day 2 around the city!
Why so serious???
After visiting a couple of places, we had margaritas and guacamole at a mexican restaurant. We were such nerds and graphed out all of the living options with pros & cons. Again, surreal moment. We pretty much made up our mind at dinner - won't forget this night.
My heart kinda melts looking at these :)
We went to Foreign Cinema for Sunday brunch. We had to take BART to the Mission District... when we came up the escalator, there were people everywhere and loud music playing. It was insane. I would be lying if I said we weren't a tad freaked out.
Made it to brunch :) We ate A.LOT.
Dinner later that night at Perry's which is very close to Carmel Rincon - our apartment building. We talked about how we thought this would be our "go-to" place. It has a great view and an awesome atmosphere. Cannot imagine this adventure without Tripp.
