Halloween

We celebrated Halloween at SSX on Friday the 28th and it was even crazier than normal! The office was decked out in decor and I actually dressed up this year!

I saw this idea on Facebook and told my 2 other pregnant co-workers (who I work really closely with) and we whipped up our costumes!

We were ripe, riper and ripest avocados! :) We didn't win the group costume contest, but it was fun! Officially 35 weeks!

Friday night, mom and dad invited us over with the Spendios and Allens. It was the PERFECT night. Great food (Mrs. Maas cooked) and even better company. Loved sitting outside on their deck - so peaceful!

Saturday morning, we had a team taught class for Halloween and we dressed up as Rosie the Riveter ;) It's my last time to teach for a while! :(

We had class outside of the center in the parking lot instead of inside - it was HOT (for late October), but breezy and super fun.

Whoa belly!

Pics of our house on Halloween night - Tripp and I turned out the lights as soon as we got home and avoided the trick or treaters :)

Howie and I :) I'm 35 weeks and Howie is 4 months. We've both grown a lot! ;)

Crib for Mom

Billie Sue, Tripp's Aunt, gave my mom and dad her crib that she used with her grandson... so they could have a crib in their house! :)

My dad put the crib together and it is setup in my childhood bedroom. So excited they will have a crib in their house for Baby H!

Billie Sue posted this on Facebook after my mom sent her a thank you gift.

Billie Sue also posted this on FB and it made my heart smile. I love that Davis was named after an amazing grandmother to Tripp.

Week 34: Heart Rate Checks

Baby H hiccups ALL THE TIME. Like every day... and sometimes multiple times a day. I decided to google it and of course realized that was a bad idea.

Jess texted her doc and asked if that meant anything and he said "no worries. completely normal." So I felt much better! Then, the next day he had 3 episodes of hiccups in 24 hours and it just didn't sit easy with me. I called the doc and she said no concerns on the hiccups, but the nurse asked if he had been moving as much. I said yes and she said I could come in and have his heart rate checked for about 25 minutes to see if there were any signs of distress if I wanted to. I decided not to go in that day because that was TWO doctors telling me the hiccups were fine and he was still moving as much.

It could have been in my head, but that afternoon, night and next morning after I talked to the nurse... I didn't feel like he was moving as much. I had OJ twice (which usually gets him moving) and he wasn't really. So, I went in and hooked up to the monitor. All was good - she said it looked perfect.

Honestly the little stinker moved more than he had the last 24 hours when I was hooked up to the machine!

The next day I had an already scheduled appointment and Dr. Markell wanted me to do it again which of course I was fine with! 25 minutes of hearing his heartbeat out loud straight - music to my ears!

All was good once gain - thank you God! We start going to the doc every week now until he is born - cannot believe it!!

SSX Offsite

A small group had an offsite at Sassafras for 2.5 days and it was one of the best things I've done as an X'er. Loved the discussion, thought and output. Jess hosted it at Sassafras in the barn and it was a great location!

My first maternatini ;)

Howie has one paw that is pink - we noticed it the day we got him and love it so.

6th Anniversary

Tripp and I celebrated 6 years of marriage on Oct 16th! We talked about going to a fancy dinner and celebrating, but honestly - we both just wanted to grab take out and enjoy a low key night at home. We vowed to not get gifts for each other given I just had a birthday and baby is coming up... but he surprised me with the sweetest card and CANDY - which is the gift for 6 years of wedded bliss.

We went to church that night and on the way home from church, Tripp said he felt this past year was our best year yet... and sitting in church, he felt we were exactly where we were supposed to be and where we hoped we'd be as we prayed for our marriage during our wedding 6 years ago that night. I feel so unbelievably grateful to be married to him.

Jazzercise Baby Shower & Ole Miss Game

Saturday morning, I taught class and then Jazzercise hosted a baby shower for us!

This is another family for me - I've made so many great friends through Jazzercise... it's so much more than exercise. Loved it!

Later that night, we played Ole Miss and WON! 3 years in a row. It didn't even feel like game weekend because NOONE was talking about the game... after the Alabama loss last week. Everyone was making bets about how much we were going to lose by... and then we WIN! It was so fun.

Rogers Baby Shower

Today was a DREAM. It was our Rogers baby shower and it could not have been more wonderful.

Hostesses were: Jessica Lais (at her home), Meredith Looney Pelton, Claire Parnell Sizemore, Sarah Douglas Beach, Cindy Maas. They outdid themselves.

Walking into the house... welcome to my baby shower! Still feels surreal.

Right when you walked in to the right, the guest book and an arrangement with Tripp and I's baby pics!

The whole party was the perfect blend of fall and baby boy.

Food - mini quiches, french toast sticks, hash browns, fruit, salad. It was brunch themed (since it started at 11am) and those items are exactly what I order at brunch!

Drink station - with a handmade sign by Jess that goes perfectly with his room.

Next to the drink station, she had a slideshow of Tripp and I's baby pics.

Outside - dessert area. I mean... too precious.

LOOK at the cake and those cookies. Jess ordered them from Joplin and they were so delicious!

Mere did all of the flower arrangements - she has mad flower skills... I do not!

Pics with the hostesses :)

Mere's mom, Janet, stopped by for just a minute at the beginning - so all four of us + our moms (and now two babies!) in one pic. We have lots of pics of the 8 of us - mom's day during college, weddings... and now babies. All Chi O's too! Evelyn (Claire's baby) just turned one month old and Douglas (Sarah's baby) is 3 weeks!

This girl. It's hard to put into words how thankful I am for her day in and and day out... but today, she did everything she could to make this as special as it could be. And she did that and more. I cannot imagine my life without her.

All of the ladies in our family - I told Jess our families rollll out, so I wasn't surprised when only a few out of the total guest list invited regretted.

Sarah brought lots of hand me downs from her boys!

We sat outside to open presents - it was a great setup and awesome weather. Jess made these pumpkins for us... one for my mom "Honey", me in the center, and one for Mary Ann "Marnee."

We got so many great gifts - people were too generous. I loved them all!

Handmade burp cloths by Jess' sister, Bethany. ADORABLE!

Stork door hanger from Pudd - we saw this years ago in a local Helena store and talked about getting it one day... and she did! :)

Billie Sue gifted this book that has been passed down generations in the family. It was given to Tripp from his grandmother in 1987 when Tripp was one year old. Then it was passed down to Tripp's cousin in Texas in 1997 and then back to another cousin's child, Spencer Rohrscheib, in 2010. Now it's for Baby Davis!

Crazy Aunt Cheryl always entertaining ;) She put some of my gifts down her shirt ha.

Molly McIllwain, Emily's daughter, helping open a present.

Everything was perfect. Missed a few people being there, but other than that - it couldn't have been better. I came home and started organizing a bit, but my mom is coming over tomorrow and we are going to spend the day nesting! Can't wait. It's all coming together!
