September - FALL & 29th birthday is here!

September starts my favorite time of year! I LOVE Fall and this year there is something extra special because of what we have waiting for us in early Dec.

Here is our September in pics - starting off with my Howie.

Jumping up to say hi during my bath :) He's getting big!

Playing on our bed. He doesn't sleep with us, but we've definitely let him on the bed now. He doesn't shed and he's pretty clean - so I've come to terms with it :) Tripp has started bringing him to bed to wake me up in the morning and the three of us snuggle... then I take him out while Tripp showers.

We've had him for 5 weeks and although he's a stinker (chewer and still potty training)... he is the best.

Saturday morning Jazzercise and then a smoothie + granola at Native Nectar. YUM! 28 weeks and a pretty darn good way to start off the THIRD trimester!

Mary Ann sent the below pic to us after comparing Davis' ultrasound to Tripp's baby pic. Sure do look alike!

My best friends' babies are here!! Clairebear had Evelyn Claire Sizemore on September 7th. Dougie was getting induced on September 17th in LR, so I drove down to meet Evelyn and hopefully Douglas if he came on time!

I held Evelyn for about 2 hours while talking to Claire and her mom. It was perfection. She has a FULL head of hair!

A few hours later I went to the hospital to meet Robert "Douglas" Beach. Dougie went in early on Saturday morning and he was born at 1:37pm. So proud of both of my friends!

I am so thankful for my college friends... It's crazy to think that we met in college, have seen each other through first jobs, weddings and now babies. It's been so fun being pregnant together and with me being after Claire and Sarah, I can ask them all of the questions after they experience things before me! :)

I drove home from LR that night and slept quite a bit on Sunday... I've reverted back to my tiredness from the first trimester in a way. A few hour nap on both Saturday and Sunday is typical these days! In between the naps, I decorated for FALL. I love our house the most during the Sept - Dec months. I always start with decorating our hutch. We burn a pumpkin candle and I decorate. Love.

Jess and Sawyer took me to lunch the day before my birthday. Sawyer had stitches earlier that week, but he was good! We ate at noodles and I loved getting a break in my Friday with these two.

I also got flowers delivered to the office when I got back from lunch - they scream fall and I love them! So beautiful!!

Friday night, the day before my birthday, Tripp and I went to dinner at Ruth's Chris. I was craving some of their sweet potatoes and they were delicious. It was a great dinner and good conversation with my love. Meanwhile in Paragould, my family was surprising my Aunt Cheryl for her 60th birthday! I couldn't miss Friday at work and then had to be back on Saturday night for another party, so we missed out on this. I know it was a blast. Look at my cute parents in their gatsby attire :)

On my actual birthday, Saturday, I woke up and taught class. Shannon had balloons on stage and I got cookies from my customers - great start to the day! I shopped around, got one of my favorite meals at the Crumpet in Rogers and took a nap. Then we got dressed up for Jess' 80s theme 30th birthday party!

30 weeks pregnant and absolutely the sober one. She had a DJ and the decor was on point. The party was during the Texas A&M game... so we watched the game and mingled. We left during halftime and watched the rest at home. We lost, so that was a bummer... but it was still a fun night and Jess had a blast - which is what mattered the most!

Barrett and Jess... hilarious.

Can't believe it's my last birthday without a baby. Life is a changing!

Glucose Test & Ultrasound

We had our follow up appointment from the 2 concerns on the anatomy ultrasound this week (~26 weeks). Overall, all was PERFECT. Baby H is healthy and growing right on schedule... well, a week ahead right now :)

The kidneys were back in normal range and my placenta is no longer blocking my cervix. It was the BEST feeling hearing the Doctor share the good news.

The ultrasound tech was the same one we had weeks before and she was much nicer this time. We were watching her take all of his measurments in black and white mode... and then she said - let's take a peek at his face. All of the sudden, his sweet face was on the TV! Tripp and I were in shock almost - I didn't expect to get to see him and it was so crazy seeing his face!

During the ultrasound, she non-chalantly said "I know he's a boy because I told you he was already, but I can't find it." I was thinking UMMMMMM... that's no good. She took a peek a few minutes later and there it was! Then it disappeared again. The ultrasound tech said "He's hiding it and holding it in his hand!!" I almost died. My sweet baby boy is already messing with his penis??? SERIOUSLY. BOYS. It was hilarious. We were dying laughing. Can't wait to share that story with him later on in life.

I also had my glucose test and haven't gotten the results back yet. I will say the drink wasn't bad at all! Tasted just like orange Fanta. Hoping I passed ;)

I'm still feeling good - just getting bigger! It's harder to move in bed and put my shoes on... and I'm out of breath pretty quickly. Overall though, so incredibly thankful for how great I've felt this pregnancy.

We made dinner reservations at Bordinos and had a yummy meal celebrating a healthy baby boy we soon get to meet :)

Howie's First Days

We took Howie everywhere we went the first weekend - he was so cuddly and perfect in the car!

The Monday after we got him, I did NOOOT want to go to work. We just wanted to stay home and be with him. The thought of him being alone all day made me so sad. I worked from home that afternoon so he didn't have to spend a full day in the crate.

Tripp took him to work that week before his first vet appt and he slept for hours in a chair next to him. Tripp said everyone in the office was obsessed with him :)

Snugglin with Reggie...

His first trip to the vet! Tripp said the ladies at the vet went crazy over him - he was a chick magnet :)

Howie & Dad getting me gas in my car :)

Squeezed in snug as a bug.

His little personality has bloomed SO much since he's been home with us. He's a chewer - into everything. He goes to the bathroom outside when he's there, but loves to eat bugs, bark, leaves... basically anything that looks interesting. He isn't housebroken yet... when he's inside, he just goes wherever he is. Working on that! ;) We love him!!

Pic from his first Razorback game!
