Sawyer's 1st Birthday Week + WIN over Auburn

Sawyer turned one this week! Feels like yesterday I was at the hospital meeting him for the first time. Can hardly believe it!

We went over to the Lais house for dinner on Tuesday night because Tripp hadn't seen them since he had been back. Jess cooked amazing fish tacos and we watched Sawyer paint a pumpkin :)

Seriously... those teeth. Melt my heart!

He was staring at Tripp across the table... at some point he looked at Tripp and said "Dada!" It was HILARIOUS. Tripp immediately said "Yep, best night of Jessica's life." SO funny.

Thursday night, Tripp and I went to a charity event for Boys & Girls club. It was sip and savor - we had wine and small bites of food. We only stayed for a little bit, but glad we went. Tripp took a pic of me fake-bidding on a Wildcats pic for Jess Hastings :)

Tripp "accidentally-won" two sports-memorabilia items from this auction. I kept telling him not to bid because no one was bidding and I was scared we would get stuck with stuff... welp, we got a text message later that night saying we had won 2 items. Joy.

Thursday was little man's first real birthday - Jess sent me these pics from their family pics. Adorable!

Friday night, we had Tripp's family over before we had dinner on the Bentonville square. It was the first time we have had real guests over with the two of us at home in a long time! We had drinks and grapes, cheese + crackers :)

Sawyer's First Birthday was during the Razorback game vs. Auburn. It was a tailgate setup and Jess did an amazing job. Pretty sure Tripp will never forgive Jess + Barrett for having to miss the game because we ended up WINNING in 4 over times. Oh well - memories :)

After we sang happy birthday, Jess sat his smash cake in front of him. He was so timid at first... then he just leaned in a left his face in his cake and ate. He probably kept his face in the cake for 5 minutes! It was hilarious.

Such a special little guy in our lives - so thankful for this family.

Saturday night we met Tripp's family at the Fayetteville house and this was the sunset on the way there. It was so beautiful!

We tried to go to Doe's, but when we walked in - they said there were literally out of everything except Sirloin. Apparently it had been a busy weekend with the game + Dad's day. So, we went to Herman's.

This place isn't top of mind for me for some reason, but it was the perfect place to eat after a big Razorback win. It oozes hog wild tradition to me!

Our 5th Anniversary - 10/16/15

We celebrated our 5th anniversary with something new and something old!

Something NEW = Sassafras Springs Vineyard. Who knew you could go to a vineyard in NWA? Traffic was crazy and I was a little behind schedule getting ready, so we pulled in about 6:20. Sun was setting and it was beautiful!

We grabbed a glass of wine and found a table on the patio in the woods and listened to the live music.

Is there anything better than red wine, fall clothing, pumpkins and outdoor hanging lights? NOPE.

We left around 7pm and this was as the sun was setting... LOVE!

Something OLD = Bordinos. This is our favorite restaurant and I'm so grateful we are together in AR to celebrate this year again!

We sat down and noticed a bottle of wine and card from my parents - they are so thoughtful and it was such a nice surprise! Last year - they surprised us with wine and our reception goblets. Love them!

We had an awesome night together celebrating the past 5 years. It's crazy to believe that we could love each other more than our wedding day, than last year, etc... but it's true. Cheers to the next 50!

Saturday morning, Tripp dropped me off at Jazzercise and then after class - we headed to Onyx Coffee in Fayetteville. Tripp had never been and I love this place. It was weird/fun showing him something new in NWA!

Coffee in hand, we parked the car and walked around campus with Reggie. We have been talking about this for YEARS, but have never done it. Today we made it happen and I'm so glad we did! Reggie was hilarious - totally out of place and literally peed on every.single.thing.

Carnall Hall.

Like I said... peeing on everything.

Walking up to Old Main.

Chi Omega Greek Theatre... hootie hoo!

We found our names - love that they are right next to the Greek theater! I spent so much of my college career on Chi O... it only makes sense that we would be close to this area of campus :)

The building on the right wasn't there when we were in college - it used to be a food hall. Now it's a beautiful building. You also used to be able to drive down that street, but now it's blocked off. Tripp picked me up from class so many times on that road!

The business college... where Tripp and I met. The building has changed a little bit, but overall - it felt the same. Such sweet memories (non-class related ha!)

We took a family selfie to show Reggie where we met! Human Capital Class :) "TREAT" got Reggie to look at the camera!

The Union.

Beautiful trees + Old Main again...

It is an off-weekend, so campus was so quiet! It felt like no one else was there but us.

Neither one of us remembered this building so it could be newer, but it was pretty!

Took some pics to send to Mary Ann in front of the Pi Phi gate!

Reggie was over it. "TREAT" was no longer did the trick.

Starting year 6 off right!

We sadly admitted that we didn't full appreciate how amazing and beautiful our campus was in college... now we do. It was such a great morning and I hope we do this again!
